We’re excited to welcome you to the Boost family! Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m thrilled to be part of Boost.
My background is an interesting fit for Boost. My career started at a small company not unlike Boost, back before we used terms like Startup and Fintech. I’ve spent many years architecting and leading the development of high-volume automation projects in various parts of finance and I’ve most recently led the design and implementation of processes and systems for enterprise data governance at a large financial institution.
How did you first get into Finance?
I’ve been focused on finance since attending college at Wharton, and all of my jobs have either been in technology supporting finance, or in data governance and architecture for financial firms.
Why are you excited to join Boost?
Boost is a fantastic company with a great team and clear mission to deliver significant cost savings and peerless service benefits to its clients. Leading Boost’s technology gives me a chance to work at the front lines, serving clients and internal staff directly, and to see my impact on the bottom line every quarter. But I’m most excited by the challenge to increase Boost’s scale in order to keep up with the company’s meteoric growth – both in terms of payment processing and the client experience. Who wouldn’t want the opportunity to build something that fundamentally changes an entire marketplace?
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
Responding to the Coronavirus pandemic provided a very clear picture of Boost’s culture. Each of the teams – Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Technology – rallied to quickly adapt to a new reality and change how we work as a company and support our customers and partners. The teamwork and enthusiasm displayed in meeting this challenge is just an extension of the teamwork and enthusiasm the Boost staff demonstrates every day in all facets of the business.
What is one goal you have for 2020?
To develop and begin executing a plan to significantly increase Boost’s payment throughput and speed of customer onboarding.
If you could go anywhere on your next holiday, where would you go?
Our family was forced to cancel a trip to Paris to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation, so that’s our destination as soon as travel is safe and practical.
